The museum’s core mission is to “carry forward the revolutionary heritage and promote the patriotic spirit.” It systematically showcases the revolutionary history from the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation to the Korean War and the contemporary era, interpreting the evolution of patriotic spirit and revolutionary wisdom throughout this journey.
The Yuqing Museum is built upon the lifelong collection of father and son collectors Wang Yuqing and Wang Yixing. Its planning and construction received high-level attention and support from the local government.
This pThe project’s design and planning were highly forward-looking, aiming to create a comprehensive cultural institution that transcends traditional exhibition functions. Its core development model is the “five-in-one” approach, integrating the functions of showcasing, collecting, researching, public education, and tourism. This transforms the museum from a mere venue for displaying artifacts into a vibrant space capable of hosting academic seminars, patriotic education for youth, Party building activities, and cultural leisure for citizens.
The museum has a total floor area of approximately 9,900 square meters. Its interior is primarily organized into four to five historical thematic exhibition zones, which systematically present the revolutionary history. The collection is built upon decades of dedicated work by father and son collectors Wang Yuqing and Wang Yixing, encompassing over 5,000 pieces of precious artifacts and historical documents.
We provided a comprehensive, customized solution tailored to its core exhibition requirements:
For the extensive paper-based documents and lightweight objects: Professional horizontal display cases and specialized hanging systems.
For key artifacts and scenographic storytelling: Independently crafted display cases, custom-designed for the specific narrative.
For immersive experiences and digital integration: Uniquely-shaped integrated projection display cases.
We supplied the exhibition hall with a total of 60 display cases across 10 distinct models. The selection included styles such as freestanding cases, wall-mounted cases, and counters.
This display case presents the “West Lake Feast” state banquet porcelain used at the G20 Hangzhou Summit. It allows visitors to directly appreciate the porcelain’s artistry while sensing its cultural and historical significance through detailed exhibition design. It serves as a prime example in the museum’s high-end custom exhibition solutions of effectively combining “artifact presentation” with “information delivery”.
The display case employs clean, elegant glass and a light-colored display wall, emphasizing the commemorative nature of the collection. By utilizing a “physical object + text” presentation method, it achieves a clear transmission of historical and cultural context, serving as an exemplary custom case for thematically-focused museum exhibits.
