Lighting System

The lighting system for museum display cases is a core technical link connecting cultural heritage preservation and artistic presentation, with its professionalism directly determining the safe longevity and viewing value of the exhibits. Safety must be the top priority for lighting fixtures inside display cases. Products should operate on a 24V safety extra-low voltage (SELV) power supply to eliminate the risk of electric shock at the source. At the same time, through excellent thermal design, the surface operating temperature of the fixtures must remain below 45°C to prevent localized heat buildup from causing thermal damage to fragile artifacts (such as paper or lacquered woodware). Physical isolation should be implemented between the lighting fixtures and the artifact display area, and external maintenance access should be supported to minimize disturbance to the artifact’s micro-environment from opening the case. Light sources with a color rendering index (CRI) higher than 95 are used to authentically reproduce the subtle nuances of artifact colors. The fixtures must offer precise beam angle control to ensure that viewers cannot see glaring light sources from any angle, immersing them in the artifacts themselves.
