Custom floor-standing, high-seismic-resistance museum freestanding seismic-proof display cabinet – exclusive order for a Japanese customer, fully assembled at the factory and ready for pickup.

Recently, all of the custom-made freestanding seismic-proof display cabinets for our Japanese cultural heritage client have been fully produced, undergone lighting calibration, and passed comprehensive seismic performance tests. The finished cabinets are now securely placed in our factory workshop, awaiting the customer’s scheduled onsite inspection and pickup.

Located on the active circum-Pacific seismic belt, Japan experiences frequent earthquakes of varying magnitudes throughout the year. Museums, ancient temples, and art galleries across the country house a large number of precious cultural relics, making seismic protection a critical industry requirement. This custom order features an upper-and-lower separate design, built to meet Japan’s stringent standards for artifact preservation and specifically engineered for high-intensity earthquake zones.

Core Upper-Lower Separated Seismic Structure
The entire cabinet adopts a mechanically isolated split design to cut off vibration transmission at the source.

Lower Seismic Load-Bearing Platform
The bottom damping base has a maximum static load capacity of 350 kg. Acting as the first buffer layer, it efficiently absorbs and dissipates ground seismic shock waves, isolating the vast majority of vibration energy.

Upper Independent Display Cabinet
The upper display cabinet weighs 270 kg and is mounted entirely on the damping platform, with no rigid connection to the floor. When the ground shakes, floor displacement is not directly transmitted to the display area, offering maximum protection for antiques and artworks.

Premium Imported Materials – Durable, High-Fidelity Display
Japanese Original AGC Extra-Clear Glass
The four-sided viewing glass is made from AGC original glass, featuring 99% light transmittance and 6.7% refractive index. It offers low reflection, no color cast, and will not fog or yellow over time – perfectly meeting the visual and light-protection requirements for displaying fine Japanese cultural artifacts.

Thickened Steel Structure + Fluorocarbon Baking Paint
The frame is assembled using high-strength aluminum profiles and 2.0 mm cold-rolled steel plates. All metal surfaces are coated with fluorocarbon paint, which is moisture-resistant, UV-resistant, and anti-corrosive – ideal for Japan’s humid and variable indoor environment. The cabinet will not fade or deform after years of use.

8 Sets of Adjustable Professional Display Lights
The cabinet is equipped with 8 independently focusable, stepless dimmable spotlights. Staff can freely adjust beam width and brightness according to different exhibits – such as ceramics, paintings, metal objects, and lacquerware – balancing viewing quality with light-induced aging protection for the artifacts.

Tested Hardcore Seismic Performance
We conducted extreme shake table simulation tests on the finished product: when inputting a magnitude 12 earthquake intensity signal, the outer cabinet only showed slight, minor swaying, while the inner display platform and all exhibits remained completely motionless – delivering maximum protective performance.

For cultural venues in Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, and other strong earthquake zones along the Pacific Ring of Fire, this freestanding seismic-proof cabinet is the core hardware for safeguarding collection security.

All processes, debugging, and quality inspections for this Japan-exclusive custom seismic-proof cabinet have been completed, and it has been properly sealed and stored in place at the workshop. Once the customer confirms their schedule, they can come to the factory for inspection, handover, and arrange cross-border transportation.

If your museum is located in an earthquake-prone region and requires high-standard, custom-made seismic-proof display cabinets for cultural relics, luxury items, or artworks, we support full customization of dimensions, lighting, and load capacity, strictly following international conservation standards for cultural artifacts.
